UnNetHack is an extended and improved version of the classic roguelike Nethack. Player objectives are still the same: get into the depths of a randomly generated dungeon in order to find the mythical amulet of Yendor. Now, in this version you'll definitely find dungeons, more monsters, and a much more random gaming experience. The dungeons, which are always generated completely at random, have more than 26 different levels. In each level you'll find tons of enemies and traps that will finish your character off. And when you die, that's it. There's no coming back by recharging matches, or resuscitating.
When creating a character you'll be able to choose among a wide number of different classes like warrior, barbarian, mage, thief or monk, but you'll also be able to choose their race, gender, and name. In this version of the game, one of the novelties is that you'll be able to play with a vampire character. On the other hand if you don't want to worry too much about details, you'll be able to generate a totally random character. It doesn't really matter anyway, because they'll be dead soon enough. Nethack originally didn't have a graphic environment, and it was only available for game play in a text format. Now, it's possible to activate a game mode with very rudimentary graphics, that at least make the game a little more accessible, because by itself it can be pretty exclusive. In settings, you can choose from a number of 'tilesets' to change how the game interface looks.
UnNetHack is a difficult game, probably one of the hardest out there on Android. Figuring out all of the different orders that you can tell your character to do is a challenge in itself, and getting the amulet of Yendor while staying alive until you escape from the dungeon again is something that very few people can brag about.
